DescriptionWe are seeking a highly analytical and strategic Demand and Supply Planner to join our team in the food manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will be responsible for optimizing our supply chain processes including co-manufacturing to ensure the seamless flow of goods, enhance productivity, and reduce costs. This role is critical in supporting our production operations and meeting customer demand through effective supply planning, multi-site loading, and inventory management.RequirementsSupply Planning:

Develop and execute short- and long-term supply plans, including co-manufacturing make versus supply decisions, to align with production schedules and demand forecasts.Align with production scheduling and operations to meet demand while respecting shelf life of products.Analyze and forecast inventory requirements to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize excess inventory.Coordinate with suppliers, manufacturers, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and components.Coordinate with R&D, Product Management, and Engineering to allow for product and process improvements.Multi-Site Loading:

Oversee production and inventory distribution across multiple manufacturing sites and warehouses to balance load and capacity.Monitor movement of materials through purchasing, storage, production, and distribution.Implement improvements to streamline processes and enhance efficiency across sites.Inventory Planning:

Set and monitor preferred stock levels, ensuring sufficient inventory for production without overcapitalization.Conduct regular inventory audits and generate detailed reports on inventory status, stock outs, and turnover rates.Utilize ERP systems to manage and update inventory data accurately.Coordinate with sales, operations, procurement and warehousing the management of slow moving and/or obsolete inventory.Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP):

Lead S&OP meetings to align supply chain activities with sales forecasts and operational plans.Collaborate with sales, production, and procurement teams to address supply chain challenges and develop solutions.Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure forecast accuracy and supplier performance.Continuous Improvement:

Engage in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain processes and material availability.Implement and maintain best practices in supply chain management, leveraging industry trends and market conditions.Design and develop new tools and methodologies to improve planning functions and overall supply chain performance.Role-based Competencies:

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools.Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Experience with statistical analysis and forecasting techniques.Background Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.Minimum of 5 years of experience in supply chain management, preferably within the food manufacturing industry.Prior supervisory experience including coordination with cross-functional teams.Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and ERP systems.APICS or Lean certification is a plus.Physical Requirements:

Frequently requires long period of sitting to perform the essential job duties.Must be able to bend, stoop, pull and lift up to 10 lbs.Close visual acuity to view a computer terminal, analyze reports, manage data and details.
