Job DescriptionA manufacturing company known for its smart technologies is currently seeking a Demand Planner to work at their Torrance office to develop, update, and improve demand forecasting of their products.

$60K-$70K/year

Requirements of the Demand Planner:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Economics, Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations Management, or related field.

Previous experience in Supply Chain, Logistics, Inventory Planning, Operational and/or Forecasting is a huge plus.

Exceptional analytical skills; Intermediate/Advanced knowledge of Excel is required (including Pivot Tables & V-Lookups; advanced Macros skill is a plus).

Experience in consumer goods demand and supply planning and buying is a plus.

Ability to provide data and assumptions to assist with complex scenarios.

Able to work with overseas manufacturers, suppliers, and vendors.

Experience using ERP and visualization/reporting software is a huge plus.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Experience in distribution channels such as wholesale and digital.

Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.

Eager to learn, with excellent follow-up skills.

Responsibilities of the Demand Planner:

Create demand forecasts on a SKU, category, and account level.

Analyze historical inventory cycles and distribution channel forecasts.

Apply statistical methodology in analyzing data trends to improve forecast accuracy.

Oversee planning for all inventory by reviewing daily order reports and maintaining inventory levels by locations and demand.

Oversee the vendor production capacity to align with the sales demand.

Collaborate with Sales and Marketing to implement sales trends and promotional activities into demand forecasting.

Collaborate with manufacturing partners and vendors to ensure ample factory lead-time for production.

Analyze and update forecasting data weekly, maintaining a rolling demand forecast.

Utilize BI and other tools to ensure data integrity and ease of view.

Ensure that the inventory allocation processes are running smoothly and effectively.

Effectively communicate between internal and external teams on demand and forecasting changes.

Other relevant duties may also be assigned.
