Description
Green Street seeks highly motivated candidates with relevant work experience, a passion for finance and real estate, and superior academic credentials to join its Account Management team. The Account Manager’s primary responsibilities will include servicing existing key clients, renewing research subscriptions, training/educating client base, and managing existing relationships with critical accounts. The ideal candidate will be able to create and implement a strategy to increase annual revenue for each key client, actively collect client feedback, and grow the overall relationship. Significant teamwork with the new sales and marketing groups and interaction with the Account Management team is expected.
Responsibilities
Training clients on Green Street’s research services, methodology, and web-based platformObtaining and effectively communicating responses to client questions and data requests, and facilitating interaction between clients and research staffProviding feedback from clients to assess possible enhancements to existing products and the need for new productsRenewing existing accounts with increased service levels and pricingDemonstrating expertise in communicating and selling all aspects of the Green Street platform, including Advisory and other business linesCreating and implementing a key account strategy for each clientTransitioning new clients from salesperson to account associateMaintaining accurate customer database of industry contacts and interactions for reporting and marketing programsWorking with Sales and Marketing teams to come up with new outbound marketing ideas; providing input to team to help develop client marketing programsConsistently providing detailed updates on activities to Account Management teamContributing to team effort and work on special projectsIdentifying upsell and cross sell opportunities with the potential opportunity to carry sales quota
Requirements
A Bachelor’s degree with high distinction in finance, accounting, real estate, economics, or a related field1-3 years of experience in a sales or customer service environmentSuperior relationship management skills and a desire to help peopleSales-driven personality, a competitive natureExperience negotiating with clients, or a desire to learnExcellent communication skills, both verbal and writtenCompetent computer skills to perform essential functions listed above (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)Well-developed presentation skillsFundamental understanding of financial industry (investment banks, lenders, private equity firms, hedge funds, stocks, bonds, etc.)Authorization to work in the United States now and in the future, without visa or sponsorship requirements
Working Conditions: The Account Manager will work indoors in an air-conditioned office building. And must be able to remain stationary at a desk and computer for a majority of the day.
Travel Percentage: Up to 10%
