It is a big mission, and we are looking for talented, ambitious, optimistic people to join our team.We are a seed stage, venture backed biotech company and are currently in stealth mode (so don’t bother looking for a website).We are currently searching for a passionate and innovative Scientist I to Sr. Scientist who excels at in vivo and in vitro experimentation to drive therapeutic candidate development in gene therapy. The ideal candidate will also bring expertise in immunology and tolerance induction for protein and gene therapeutics. Working hand-in-hand with the CSO and head of Vectorology, this Scientist will be a critical member of the founding team here at Source Bio.ResponsibilitiesOrganize, execute and interpret in vivo experiments at local CROs to characterize and optimize Source’s therapeutic candidates.

Establish, execute, and interpret in vitro and cell-based workflows for testing and optimizing candidates.

Design strategy around assessment and mitigation of in vivo immunological response to each candidate.

Contribute to vector and protein design as necessary.

Opportunity to drive therapeutic candidates into IND-enabling studies.

QualificationsPh.D. in pharmacology, molecular biology, immunology, or a related field.

2+ years of industry experience preferred.

Direct experience in the design, testing, and development of gene therapies.

Deep experience managing CROs to enable timely and successful execution of in vivo experiments.

Skill with in vitro and cell-based assays, including transfection, ELISA and Western blotting, various microscopy techniques.

Skill with PCR-based assays, such as qPCR, RT-PCR and ddPCR.

Expertise in immunology and immunological assessment preferred.

Significant experience in project progression, experimental prioritization, project teams and line responsibilities.

Competence in plasmid construction for AAV, viral, or non-viral gene therapy preferred.
