The H. Milton Stewart School of Industrial and Systems Engineering (ISyE) at the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, Georgia, is seeking a dynamic and innovative educator to join our team as an Academic Professional or Senior Academic Professional rank. This full-time, non-tenure track position is focused on enhancing our curriculum through Project-Based Learning (PBL) and Technical Communication. Ideal candidates will have a robust background in developing engaging, project-based courses and a proven track record in integrating technical communication within an engineering context.This appointment is hybrid eligible.Responsibilities

Curriculum Development:

Design and implement project-based learning modules for industrial engineering, integrating comprehensive writing and communication tasks.Student Support:

Serve as a key resource for both undergraduate and doctoral students, offering advice and support for communication-related assignments.Course Creation:

Develop a 1-credit course aimed at freshmen and transfer students.Program Coordination:

Consult with the Director of Technical and Professional Communication to confirm that communication support services align with the strategic objectives of the school's communication program.Required Qualifications

This is an open rank search. The final job offer will be dependent on candidate qualifications in alignment with non-tenure track academic faculty ranks as outlined in section 3.2.2 of the Georgia Tech Faculty Handbook.Academic Professional:

Terminal degree in Industrial Engineering, Operation Research, English, Technical Communication, Engineering Education, or a related field.Senior Academic Professional:

Evidence of superior performance in the chosen field.Preferred Qualifications

Professional Experience:

Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing project-based learning initiatives and technical communication.Required Documents to Attach
