As the Assistant Controller, you will lead and mentor several members of the accounting team, reinforce a culture of excellence and instill a continuous improvement mindset. You will be responsible for overseeing certain functional areas within the accounting department, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of financial statements, and providing back-up support to other members of the accounting team, as needed. Specific responsibilities will initially include:Oversee the general accounting functions, including, but not limited to: cash, accounts payable, revenue recognition, capitalized assets, fixed assets, prepaids, and sales taxLeading month-end close, including the review of reconciliationsState, local and sales tax compliance, including registrations and accurate, timely filingsYou will work in tandem with the company's Controller to ensure maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records and a comprehensive set of controls, designed to mitigate risk, uphold the accuracy of the company's reporting, and ensure that reported results comply with GAAP. You will interface with the company's auditors and work with the Controller to ensure a clean and timely audit report. Compressing the monthly close cycle and leveraging NetSuite for additional automation and reporting capabilities will be a key objective to enhance the scalability of the accounting function. You will work with the team to structure and prioritize the highest priority efficiency enhancing initiatives with the ultimate goal of supporting additional business complexity and 3-5x our current order volume.This role will give you broad exposure and ability to impact some of the company's highest priority strategic initiatives, including M&A and international expansion. We are looking for an ambitious, intellectually curious, passionate accounting leader to help drive a best-in-class accounting function to support our Company's continued growth.Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or other related fieldCertified Public Accountant (CPA)5+ years of progressive accounting experienceExperience working with SaaS companies preferredExperience with NetSuite and salesforce.com is a plus but can also be learned on the jobExperience with hiring, training, and supervising employeesCompetencies And Skills Required For Success
