The Medicaid Analyst supports the Finance and Permanent Supportive Housing Departments (PSH), mediating between the PSH, billing, and compliance departments. The role requires working professionally with external vendors and internal contacts at all levels of the organization. It will also require steadfast attention to detail, excellent verbal and written communication, proficiency with Microsoft Suite, and learning new software systems.Responsibilities:Work closely with Permanent Supportive Housing Program staff to review for timely Medicaid and DHS billing and contract compliance, including monitoring Medicaid Expirations-Renewals, Annual Intakes, Utility, and Financial Assistance input into the Credible billing system, Prior Authorizations, and other data entry and monitoring functions.Collaborate with the Accounts Receivable/Billing Manager, Quality Control and Training Manager, and PSH leadership to ensure that all PSH billing processes are completed promptly and accurately.Serve as a backup to the Accounts Receivable/Billing Manager, performing monthly billing functions for Medicaid and DHS.Participate in DHS Provider meetings, Medicaid meetings, billing support meetings, etc.Support the PSH program policies and procedures with other PSH team members.Collaborate professionally with external agencies and stakeholders, providing services to participants within the restraints of HIPAA to further the goals identified by program participants.Support the integrity and timeliness of all documentation, including participant interactions, biopsychosocial assessments, service plans, UIRs, and other clinical documentation in HTH/OTCO and Credible.Strong commitment to Friendship Place’s core values and mission, including racial equity and social justice. Perform all other duties as assigned and requested by funders.Background & Qualifications:Minimum of an Associate’s degree preferred.3+ years of analytical work experience preferred.Previous experience in DC Medicaid verifications & billing is strongly preferred.Proficiency in Office 365 systems, specifically Word and Excel.Ability to learn new software systems, including Credible.Demonstrated ability to work well with others at various levels of the organization.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Self-driven and can work independently with limited supervision.Ability to work in a culturally diverse, fast-paced team environment.Displays great attention to detail and problem-solving skills.Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize the workload.Commitment to meeting deadlines and goals.Ability to maintain information confidentiality.Valid driver’s license.Physical and Environmental Requirements:

The hiring pay range is between

$55,000 - $63,000

annually. The starting hourly pay rate is based on a step system. A candidate’s starting pay determination is based on meeting the basic position requirements and completing education, credentials, and/or work experience. Please Note: The step system is set and not open to pay negotiation.
