Wilson Elser's San Francisco office seeks a Paralegal to join the Toxic Tort practice team.This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated, self-starter to advance their paralegal career by developing an understanding of the anatomy of defense litigation through hands-on experience in a fast-paced litigation group.The Firm

Qualifications

Must have a bachelor's degreeParalegal Certificate from an ABA accredited Paralegal program/course preferred2+ years toxic tort litigation experience, including asbestos, talc, benzene, mold, or similar casesExperience preparing pleadings and discovery requests/responses, summarizing medical, employment, and military records, and supporting trialTrial preparation experience a plusStrong proficiency with Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook)iManage experience a plusAttention to detail and organizational skills are criticalClear and effective communication skills both orally and in writingMust be able to work independently and be proactiveExperience with e-discovery and using Relativity or other document review platforms is a plusResponsibilities

Prepare records, review and prepare exhibits, analyze medical records, and trial preparationContact outside sources (government agencies, etc.) to obtain public information and review and analyze the sameSearch and retrieve information from court-related databases as well as other online sources of case informationPrepare summary of pertinent transcriptsAssemble chronologies of pertinent facts and key documentsReview, analyze and organize document productions by opposing parties and co-defendantsDetermine, prepare and organize materials needed for expert witness reviewConduct investigative research on opposing parties and expert witnessesManage documents and organize case filesMonitor and review third party eFile/eService databasesWhy Should You Apply?

The expected salary range for this position is $75,000 to $90,000. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances. This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance.
