Senior Estimator

Position : Senior EstimatorReports to : Director of EstimatingLocation : Columbus, OHSalary Range : $100,000 - $120,000We take into consideration a number of factors when preparing a compensation package for successful candidates, such as market location, experience, skills, and education.The Superior Group is seeking a Senior Estimator who will be responsible for interpreting drawings, reading specifications, and performing takeoffs on certain items. The ideal candidate must have the willingness to learn new technology and estimating software, have strong technical and communication skills, and work well in a team environment.ResponsibilitiesReading and understanding contract drawings and project specificationsPerforming takeoff of electric items, consisting of light fixtures, branch power devices, and fire alarm devicesWorking with vendors and QA estimatesLeading projects and coordinating with internal teams to ensure alignment of scopeConducting site visits to understand practical field installation requirementsCollaborating closely with the project management team on change order pricingYour Character TraitsYou’re very organized, great at prioritization, and have a strong attention to detailYou’re a team player and feel comfortable collaborating with colleagues across all levels of the organizationYou have an analytical mindset and understand how to problem solveYou have the ability to consistently meet tight deadlines and the willingness to learn new processesYou’re able to exercise confidentiality and discretion when dealing with sensitive informationYou can lead others and assist them in what needs to be doneAble to train others in the correct process of estimatingYour ExpertiseRequired : You have 7+ years of experience in construction estimatingBonus Points: If you have earned an associate's or bachelor's degree in construction management or a related fieldBonus Points: If you have experience in electrical constructionBonus Point: If you have experience using Accubid and/or BluebeamOur BenefitsWe offer a range of professional and personal perks that you can enjoy as a member of TSG.
