ROLE

Designs, develops, implements, and documents Asset Management processes, procedures, and tools.

Identifies, organizes, and maps the relationships between software, hardware, licenses, and other critical IT Assets.

Identifies Asset types and creates new Assets as required.

Collects and interprets Asset data and works closely with external teams and vendors to ensure accuracy of the data.

Audits IT Asset Management (ITAM) database for accuracy and reconciliation of discrepancies.

Develops processes and procedures to deploy ITAM.

Manages asset movement, data, statuses, and relationships to one another (i.e. software to hardware or hardware to software).

Reviews purchase orders, and assists in receiving and reconciliation for asset acquisitions.

Assists with product stock room inventory and reconciliation.

Supports IT project and delivery teams, providing asset oversight, guidance, project closure, and reconciliation services.

Assists with US and Canada IT equipment and software inventory.

Supports software asset management, including: title onboarding, vendor management, license reconciliation, audit support, and lead software asset management efficiency initiatives.

Adheres to security guidelines and ensures compliance.

Identifies and resolves problems often anticipating issues before they occur or before they grow; develops and evaluates options and implements solutions.

Provides subject matter expertise in proper IT Asset Management (ITAM) policies and procedures across purchasing, contracts, vendor management, and business owner teams.

Targets ITAM goals to remain compliant with software purchases, optimize software-related spend, and manage IT hardware asset lifecycle data.

Supports efforts to expand hardware/software visibility in asset management tools.

Responsible for working with business stakeholders to successfully manage and maintain the data integrity and completeness of IT asset inventories (Hardware and Software).

Initiates cross-collaboration with internal and external teams and supports problem resolution efforts.

Researches and understands software license and entitlement purchase/contract information, reviews against current consumption (on prem installation or SaaS usage).

Identifies opportunities for streamlining through continuous process improvement and implementing best practice solutions.

Creates and maintains process and reference documentation.

Supports recurring audits and reconciliation of hardware and software assets.

Takes responsibility for the quality of IT asset data within the asset management systems.

Drives increased automation for asset management process efficiencies.

Reviews and communicates analysis of software license and hardware contract compliance as needed.

Communicates/presents analytical findings with multiple stakeholders.

Conducts reviews and analysis of IT asset data, identifying data integrity issues and root causes of anomalies.

REQUIRED

2+ years’ of experience in IT Asset Management with knowledge of industry best practices; or equivalent inventory/materials management experience.

Strong understanding of hardware and software asset life cycles and supply chain methods and processes; from purchase through disposal.

Experience utilizing Excel/Google Sheets to analyze data sets; including experience with pivot tables and formulas.

Analytical, detail-oriented and demonstrates the ability to research and problem-solve effectively.

Strong understanding of asset accounting/financial accounting principles as it relates to the movement of assets throughout their lifecycle.

Understanding of the budgetary process and how ITAM relates to CapEx and OpEx expenses.

Possesses a positive attitude, ability to work independently, and be self-motivated.

Possesses the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with vendors, cross-functional teams, and with all organizational levels of Costco.

Organized and self-motivated.

Clear and concise communication skills.

Focused on delivering value to the organization and increasing ROI.

Previous experience successfully managing multiple projects and tasks; excellent organizational skills.

Willingness to take direction and coaching from management and peers.

Flexible and adaptable to changes.

Minimum requirement of 3 days onsite/in office (subject to change).

Able to work O/T as necessary.

Recommended

Experience with ServiceNow (“CARTS”).

Experience with Flexera.

IT Asset Management certification (ex. CHAMP, CSAM, CITAM, or equivalent).

Experience with software asset management lifecycle and licensing, contract analysis.

Basic understanding of Costco Business operations is preferred.

Experience with Google Workspace (GoogleDocs, GoogleSheets, etc.).

Experience with PowerBI report creation.

Pay Ranges:

Level 2 - $36.06 - $43.27

Level 3 - $40.87 - $50.48
