Master Data Analyst

The Master Data Analyst will work with business owners to provide analysis and recommend solutions to data challenges. This position will define key data quality metrics and indicators and facilitate the development and implementation of supporting standards. This role will focus on data quality, accuracy, and reliability based on stakeholder needs. This is a remote role with 10% travel.

How you will spend your days as the Master Data Analyst:

Work with business owners on data challenges, providing analysis and expertise in business data to recommend solutions.Execute enterprise data best practices, metadata standardization, lineage, data deduplication, mapping and transformation, and business validations.Execute Data Standards as well as KPIs to track ongoing data quality performance.Define key data quality metrics and indicators and facilitate the development and implementation of supporting standards.Develops automation and cycle audits to expedite data quality improvements.Manages medium to large projects and/or cross functional, gives direction to data analysts as needed.Communicates internally and with third parties to provide status updates, to resolve conflicts and to provide feedback & recommend business process changes.Understand internal and external stakeholder data needs and expectations for information.Ensures the data in systems supports the needs of stakeholders.Maintains and develop quality control processes for managing data.Collaborate with subject matter experts and other data analysts to ensure the enterprise data is accurate, complete, and reliable.Applies critical thinking in reviewing provided data in various formats for accuracy.Proposes and implements innovative solutions to increase team efficiency.Prepares product data to upload into ERP system.Data standardization across ERP systems.Identifies data issues that require recurring/ad-hoc audits & implement business process to address.Complies with Company’s attendance policy by maintaining regular and predictable attendance.Performs other duties as assigned by Management.Coordinates and validates out-sourced work as part of Master Data Management.Meets throughput, quality and customer satisfaction standards.Effectively works in a team environment with ability to work independently and remotely.

Bachelor's degree in a business field or equivalent work experience required.Minimum 3-5 years of experience in data management and/or business expertise.Exhibits proficiency with data governance/management concepts.Solid understanding of and experience working in an MDM and/or PIM system is required.Knowledge of LBM (lumber and building materials industry) is strongly preferred.Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Project, and Outlook.Proficient in relational databases (Microsoft Access, SQL, etc.).Experience with Epicor ERP Systems is a plus.Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.Strong analytical and time management skills, with strong attention to detail.Inquisitive and curious nature; committed problem-solver.Intermediate facilitation skills with the ability to drive issues to closure.Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision or questions.Ability to deliver a high level of customer service and ability to meet deadlines.Experience working with IT project managers, architects, and developers, translating business data needs into technical language, and ensuring effective QA / UAT of data solution delivery.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, responsive work environment.Foster company success through a professional appearance, being courteous to customers with a positive attitude.Initiate and execute continuous improvement processes.Able to effectively lead meetings and medium/large projects.Collaborates effectively with peers and leaders and must be comfortable leading meetings, delegating work to analysts, and influencing strategy.Comfortable working with stakeholders to establish or clarify data ownership, conduct validation, manage conflict, etc.Demonstrated ability to complete established goals with limited guidance and work in an unstructured environment.Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
