SummaryThe Doctoral-Level Clinical Supervisor provides training, mentoring, and clinical supervision to pre-doc and post-doc PsyD and PhD Clinicians in the Mental Health and Housing Departments under DMH and DHS-Contracted Programs serving individuals living with severe, persistent mental illness.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Provide individual clinical supervision to pre-doc and/or post-doc unlicensed clinical staff in adherence with Board of Psychology and Medi-Cal requirements.
In partnership with the supervisee, complete and maintain all necessary documentation related to supervised hours with the Board of Psychology.
Provide clinical guidance, consultation, and training in serving populations living with severe, persistent mental illness with a chronic homeless history and co-occurring disorders.
Assist supervisees in ensuring the highest quality client care while meeting administrative duties.
Train and supervise on clinical assessments, crisis interventions, and clinical interventions as it relates to the target population served.
Model, train, and supervise from the trauma-informed care and harm reduction approach.
Partner and communicate with program management and leadership on clinical training and oversight as needed.
Qualifications:
Active, current license as a PsyD or PhD with the California Board of Psychology.
Minimum two years' experience working with those living with mental illness and/or substance addictions, and homelessness post-licensure.
Strong knowledge and experience in working from the trauma-informed care and harm reduction approach.
Experience working from the multidisciplinary, whole-person care approach serving vulnerable populations.
Preferred Qualifications:
Strong working knowledge of Medi-Cal documentation and requirements.
Outstanding clinical and strong team-building skills.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and database applications.
Detail-oriented with excellent time management, organizational, written, verbal, interpersonal, and computer skills.
Able to learn quickly and work effectively with a wide range of constituencies and with minimal supervision.
Minimum 35 WPM typing speed preferred.
Work Environment:
100% remote position, indoor office environment.
A laptop or computer with video-conferencing capabilities is required for the position.
