Minimum QualificationsRequires at least a baccalaureate degree in the field. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Preferred Qualifications

5+ years supervisory experience with project management

Masters degree

Professional licensure-architect, landscaping, engineering, or related field

Position SummaryThis position will provide high level oversight on 150 FMD maintenance projects and renovations. This position will supervise a team of 5 project managers and perform pre-construction coordination, review and track project schedules and site logistics plans, monitor construction progress, and ensure quality control on contracts and project execution.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies

Knowledge of construction projects from inception through completion within designated budgets and timeframes.

Knowledge of current construction methods, the Americans with Disabilities Act, building and life safety codes.

Expertise in pre-construction services, construction, materials testing, and commissioning of renovation and new construction projects.

Ability to review construction documents, submittals, and code-related issues.

Knowledge of software used in the construction industry such as Bluebeam, e-builder, Procore, and PlanGrid.

Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.

Ability to lead, manage, and supervise staff.

Exceptional customer service skills.

Physical Demands

Potential daily visits to project construction sites.

Walking and maneuvering around construction sites.

Driving as needed to perform job duties.

Lifting items up to 50 pounds.

Duties/Responsibilities

Provide high level oversight on approximately 150 FMD maintenance projects.

Supervise a team of five PMs.

Perform pre-construction pricing reviews and scope development.

Host monthly meetings with UGA’s Environmental Safety Department.

Other duties as assigned.
