change the world .THE OPPORTUNITYThe Staff Accountant, International will work under the supervision of the Senior Accountant, International. In general, the Staff Accountant, International is responsible for recording, balancing, and reconciling daily and monthly accounting activities and accounts.RESPONSIBILITIESAll aspects of the general ledger process of international legal entities, including monthly closes, account reconciliations and analytics, in accordance with deadlines.Process all general, recurring and reclassification entries into the general ledger in various foreign currencies.Prepare monthly bank reconciliations for all accounts, verifies accuracy of cash accounts working with the Treasury team, and responds to inquiries.Review and preparation of payroll entries and reconciliation to reports provided by payroll.Review and analyze monthly international financial results to ensure accounting accuracy, investigate and explain identified variances, and monitor compliance with regulatory requirements.Assist Finance team with the preparation of the monthly Financial reports, as well as analysis of actuals to the annual budget, monthly projections, and comparative prior actuals.Assist in on-going coordination and communications with global vendors, including external audit firm and outsourced international bookkeeping firms, and international offices.Review postings by outsourced international bookkeeping firm and ensure proper accounting for international subsidiaries in accordance with local regulatory requirements and internal controls, as well as assist with operational support, as necessary.Support global audit by delivering timely and accurate audit workpapers and documentation requests (planning, interim and final).Maintain desktop procedures and workflow narrative documentation for areas of responsibility on an on-going basis.Identify operational efficiencies and improvements to systems and processes.Special reporting and analysis projects, as requested.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONSBS in Accounting or related field required.Ideal candidate has 1-2 years of general ledger accounting experience. Experience in a professional services firm is helpful, but not required.Knowledge of US GAAP, IFRS and/or other regional local GAAP standards.Experience with Oracle Cloud ERP system a plus.Must be proficient in Excel skills (pivot tables, formulaic expressions, etc.).Team-orientated, deadline-driven individual with strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.Possess a high level of attention to details and strong analytical skills.Preferably experience with multi-national business including inter-company transactions and agreements, and understanding of foreign currencies and currency translations.EQUAL OPPORTUNITY EMPLOYMENTThe firm is committed to the concept and practice of equal employment opportunity and will not discriminate against any employee or applicant on the basis of race, color, religion, age, sex, national origin, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or veteran status.
