Position: International Staff Accountant

The International Staff Accountant will handle and maintain all accounting operations related to foreign entities and licensee partners, verify financial records and transactions, analyze financial reports, ensure compliance within GAAP and support the month close process. The ideal candidate must have a keen attention to detail and a demonstrated ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities:

Support month-end and year-end close process.Reconcile AR due from license partners.Prepare journal entries, reports, etc. related to activities for the corporate cost centers including but not limited to Inventory, Fixed Assets, Leases, Goodwill, Intangibles, Debt, Payroll and non-controlling interest.Prepare monthly account reconciliations.Prepare the monthly reporting packages for corporate entities for the consolidation.Conduct monthly and quarterly account reconciliations to ensure accurate reporting and ledger maintenance for various entities.Support internal and external audit of financial processes and statements.Prepare and/or participate in activities on the monthly closing checklist to ensure they are completed in a timely manner.Assist with the aggregation of data for quarterly and annually reported footnotes.Special projects as assigned (e.g., research newly issued Accounting Standards, assisting with the implementation of the Company’s global ERP system, integration of newly acquired businesses, ad hoc analysis, other financial system upgrades, etc.)

Qualifications:

Bachelors in Accounting or Finance1-3 years of accounting experience in a dynamic, diversified service organization (sports and live entertainment experience is preferred)Strong analytical skills and ability to manipulate large amounts of dataExperience with royalties and/or franchise accountingExperience with international accounting. Good understanding of IFRSExcellent communication and relations building skills and the ability to proactively work in teams with a high attention to detail and ability to prioritize and balance work in a fast-paced, deadline oriented environment with high level of responsibility and ownershipProficiency in Microsoft Office; especially MS Excel, and working knowledge of financial systems (NetSuite preferred), statement and reports
