We are a tax and accounting firm in search of a bright, hardworking and dedicated staff accountant to assist in bookkeeping, payroll and tax preparation.
Location: Gaithersburg, MDJob Responsibilities:Tax return preparation: Data input in tax software for individual, business and trust tax returnsPrepare tax and accounting workpapersBookkeeping and account reconciliationAssist with payroll processing for clientsGeneral accounting services for clientsProvide support to accounting and tax teamThe ideal candidate has the following qualifications:Recent accounting grad or up to 2 years in an accounting setting. Some experience in bookkeeping and payroll related tasks is helpful.QuickBooks and Excel experience. Some familiarity with tax software, a plus.Organization skills and ability to handle and prioritize assignments.Strong work ethic, self-starter with the ability to work independently as well as with others.
