Job Description –Scheduling ManagerGeneral DescriptionThe Scheduling Manager is responsible for assisting Business Developers and Project Managers with all facets of planning and scheduling for proposing and executing EPC, Design-Build, or CMAR project delivery focused on power delivery and water infrastructure.
Work assignments may include multiple concurrent projects and pursuits.
Duties
Analyzes information taken from multiple and interdependent construction projects and develops consolidated project plans and schedules meant to maximize organizational efficiency.Prepares reports anticipating the impact of projects on multiple teams or functional areas, including finance, engineering, human resources, facilities, and production/manufacturing (if applicable).Secures project resources as needed.Tracks project progress against plans and identifies and resolves conflicts or roadblocks.May assist in the development of customer proposals, bids, or price quotations.Develops Linear Schedule Method (LSM) and Critical Path Method (CPM) schedules and updates to include development, master project schedule integration, and cost-loaded resource assignmentsWorks collaboratively with pursuit and project leaders, engineers, estimators, procurement specialists, suppliers, and trade contractors to develop, baseline, and update project schedules using multiple formats and softwareCreates and maintains alignment of the work breakdown structure with the financial breakdown structure of pursuits and projectsDevelops cost and resource loaded schedules, and incorporates earned value metrics and Key Performance IndicatorsSupports and challenges the project teams to develop accurate productivity durations and optimizes the sequence of workIncorporates change management and activity progression updatesAssists with Risk Management identification, qualification, and mitigation planningIdentifies, documents, and performs schedule analysis and time impact analysisMaintains sufficient and accurate documentation and storagePossesses exemplary personal workflow processes and time management skillsDrives short-interval scheduling practices among project leadership staffAdheres to internal standards, policies, and proceduresPerforms special projects and completes other duties as assigned or requestedRequired Experience and Education
Comprehensive knowledge of the field's concepts and principles.Performs complex tasks typically following established processes.Leads and directs the work of other employees and has full authority for personnel decisions.Primarily focused on administering established policies and procedures but may have some impact on departmental budgeting, strategic planning, and procedural change.Proficiency in using Primavera P6Competent in use of schedule reporting for analysis and presentation purposesPreferred Experience and Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Construction Management, or relevant fieldOver 10 years of direct experience with design, permitting, procurement, construction, and commissioning teams on developing schedules for heavy construction, power delivery, wet infrastructure works, developing resource/cost loaded schedules and familiarity with earned value metricsProficiency in using TILOSFamiliarity with Acumen analysis softwareSkills
Self-starter who can work independently while supporting the needs of the teamExcellent communication skills (both written and verbal)Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organizationCustomer service and effective time management skills
