Temporary Employment Services (TES), a unit of the Auburn University Department of Human Resources, is an in-house support center established to meet the temporary employment needs of the university. TES provides qualified and dedicated temporary employees in a wide variety of occupations to meet the staffing needs throughout the campus. Temporary employees are hired for a variety of reasons with the most common being:
Assistance in the place of a regular employee who is absent for a specified period of timeAdditional assistance during periods of abnormal or peak workloadsAssistance with special projectsSeasonal workEmergenciesIf you are looking for an employment opportunity, TES is a great way to showcase your professional skills and assist Auburn University while gaining valuable work experience within higher education.

Essential Functions
Assists the ERA staff with verification of data elements for all proposals processed through the Electronic Coverform System for entry into the Office of Sponsored Programs (OSP) SQL Database, ensuring all proposal components have been provided to Office of Sponsored Programs and notifying the department if items are missing or incorrect.As directed by ERA staff, imports all electronic proposals, sub-awards, and sub-award modifications into Xtender, verifies the quality of the import, and indexes them for future use, including, but not limited to, annual audits, awards processing, or evaluating past performance. As directed by ERA staff, imports all Basic agreements and modifications into Xtender, and updates the indices when received.Assists the ERA staff with the verification off data elements for all sponsored awards and award modifications processed for entry into the OSP SQL Database, ensuring all components of the award have been provided to OSP and notifying the Contract Administrator, Office of Research Compliance, department, or college if something is missing or incorrect.Minimum Qualifications
High school diploma2 years of administrative/clerical experience OR a degree to substitute for years of experience.Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, which are critical to the ability to manage data quality and accuracy because most data is initially provided from outside of the unit.Desired Qualifications
Familiarity with academic R&D and sponsored projects is desired but not necessary.Computer skills and experience with data entry and data quality is very important.Experience with data quality oversight, office management and organization of record keeping and data entry is desired.Degree in computer and/or information systems is desired.
