seeks a full-time Purchasing Agent at our Consumer Products manufacturing facility in Lincoln, NE.

Responsibilities of Purchasing Agent:
Perform a variety of procurement functions to obtain the highest quality goods and services, including machinery, equipment, tooling, repairs and parts, in order to achieve the optimum value for the organizationEvaluate, coordinate and monitor shipments to ensure efficient operation while maintaining quality and costManage the acquisition of assigned commodities from concept to completion and managed supplier performance as it relates to quality, delivery, cost and serviceCorrespond with internal customers and outside supplies to ensure procurement related requirements are metPurchasing functions, such as, quoting, negotiating, placing orders, handling quality issues, follow up for on time delivery, expediting, maintaining purchasing budgetResearch and identify specialized resources inside or outside of the organization that will effectively meet the needs of the situationQualifications for Purchasing Agent:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain or related field preferred OR Equivalent combination of education and 2-3 years related experienceMust be able to display appropriate proficiency with computers and computer applications, such as, Excel and Lotus NotesExperience with reading and comprehending blue prints and handling negotiations is preferredPerks for Purchasing Agent:
