About This Role

We are seeking a lab-dedicated scientist to support critical PET radiotracer development activities, with the goal of advancing imaging biomarker discovery and development for neurology, immunology, and rare disease indications. You will join an agile team of in vivo and in vitro scientists working to develop and validate novel PET tracers in animal models of disease. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in small teams and has hands-on experience in early preclinical radiotracer development. A background in disease biology is also highly preferred. Position level and responsibilities commensurate with experience.

What You'll Do

Independently plan and execute in vivo animal studies to develop novel PET tracers for neurology, immunology, and rare disease programs.

Support projects using multiple therapeutic modalities including small molecules, antisense oligonucleotides, antibodies, and gene therapy.

Maintain and troubleshoot related instruments and methods including PET, CT, gamma counters, etc.

Work closely with EHS and radiation safety officers to ensure a safe work environment.

Qualifications:

Who You Are

You have a demonstrable track record of successfully working with PET or SPECT imaging in rodents and applying those tracers to disease models. You bring adaptability, self-motivation, curiosity, and excitement while working closely with others.

Required Skills

PhD with 2-5 years of experience.

Ability to design and execute PET/SPECT imaging experiments independently.

Experience working with radioactive materials and laboratory animals.

Hands-on experience with one or more of the following therapeutic modalities: small molecules, antisense oligonucleotides, antibodies, gene therapy.

Preferred Skills

2-5 years of experience in PET/SPECT tracer development.

Knowledge of preclinical PET image analysis techniques and software (ex. VivoQuant).

Biochemistry laboratory techniques (e.g., SDS-PAGE, ELISA), fluorescence microscopy, tissue staining/histology, in vitro cell culture.

Background in immunology or related diseases.
