Immigration Attorney

A law firm in Rochester, NY, is seeking an experienced Immigration Attorney with a strong background in employment-based immigration cases. The ideal candidate will have 3-10 years of experience, excellent writing, client service, and case management skills, and a passion for client service and initiative.Duties and Responsibilities:Manage and oversee a diverse caseload of employment-based immigration matters, including labor certifications, EB-1 petitions, nonimmigrant visa petitions, and J-1 waiver applications.Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients on immigration-related issues.Draft, review, and file immigration petitions and applications with attention to detail and accuracy.Conduct legal research and stay current with changes in immigration laws and regulations.Collaborate with clients, employers, and individuals to gather necessary documentation and information.Develop and implement strategic plans for complex immigration cases.Communicate effectively with clients and provide regular updates on case progress.Assist in training and mentoring junior attorneys and support staff.Maintain organized case files and ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.Requirements:3-10 years of experience in immigration law, with a focus on employment-based cases.Proven track record of successful case management and client representation.Strong writing, analytical, and research skills.Excellent client service and communication abilities.Demonstrated enthusiasm for client service and proactive approach to legal issues.Education:Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Licensed to practice law in the state of New York.Certification from relevant immigration law organizations is a plus.Skills:Comprehensive knowledge of immigration laws and regulations.Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously with strong organizational skills.Proficiency in legal research tools and case management software.Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in legal documentation.
