Job Description
Top Motorsports company is looking to add to their new division! Immediate hiring for a Head of Supply Chain & Operations in Torrance, CA. Position is a Hybrid opportunity.
Responsible for taking charge of all aspects of our supply chain and logistics operations, ensuring the seamless and efficient delivery of our products to market.
Including:* Supply Chain Management: Oversee the entire supply chain process, from sourcing and procurement to distribution and delivery, ensuring the efficient and timely movement of merchandise.* Supplier Relations: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and logistics partners to ensure high performance and reliability.* Collaboration: Work with manufacturers, distributors, and third-party logistics providers to ensure smooth operations and timely delivery of products. Collaborate with production planner to forecast demand and develop inventory strategies for existing items, new products, and product phase-outs* Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels to meet demand while minimizing costs and ensuring product availability.* Logistics Optimization: Optimize logistics flows, including transportation, warehousing, and distribution, to improve efficiency and reduce costs.* Performance Metrics: Define, operationalize, and optimize business processes, KPIs, and operational reporting to track and improve supply chain performance.* Risk Management: Proactively mitigate risks, align resources, and drive continuous improvement to achieve key business priorities.* Budget Management: Manage the operational budget and ensure the business grows ahead of market disruptions.* Compliance: Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards, implementing formalized processes across all areas.
Job Requirements
Qualified candidates will have:
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree or professional certifications (e.g., APICS, CSCP) is a plus.* 7-10+ years of experience in supply chain management and planning within the retail, apparel, and/or merchandise industry.* Proficiency in supply chain management software and tools. Strong understanding of ERP systems and logistics management platforms.
* Preferred existing relationships with relevant suppliers and manufacturers and retail brand start-up experience.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make data-driven decisions.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.* Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously.* Willingness to travel domestically and internationally* Current US passport holder or willingness to obtain one upon hire.
Weekly Flat Rate: $2307 - $3461 DOE
