The Data and Systems group at Merage comprises technology professionals who manage the digital infrastructure, business applications, and data flows within the school. The group's responsibilities encompass the development, administration, integration, and security of the business systems and data that underpin nearly all activities at the school, including the student lifecycle from recruitment to placement. Your Role on the Team

Under general supervision, the DigitalOps Support Engineer will utilize their experience, knowledge and synchronous professional development, in conjunction with established policies, procedures, and standards, to manage various tasks. These tasks encompass the installation, configuration, monitoring, and troubleshooting of complex business process integration and automation scenarios, system administration duties, shell script development, as well as website and application development and associated debugging and testing.

The DigitalOps Support Engineer will play a role in moving existing websites/applications/services to a cloud-first information systems infrastructure, a shift that aims to bolster the school's digital capabilities in terms of resilience, scalability, IT governance, security, and readiness for innovation.

Through regular monitoring and resolution of service incidents, DigitalOps Support Engineer will assist faculty, students, staff and other affiliates in maintaining business value of applicable information systems, ensure a consistent user experience across the schools' brand, and support the security and integrity of data and systems.

The expected pay range for this recruitment is $33.53- $38.17 (Hourly).

Required:Interpersonal skills sufficient to work with both technical and non-technical personnel at various levels in the organization. Ability to elicit and communicate technical and non-technical information in a clear and concise manner.Demonstrated ability to install software and troubleshoot and repair moderately complex problems with computing devices, peripherals and software. Proactive and resourceful knowledge seeker that advances skills through independent learning opportunities to research, test, and explore for creative business and technical solutions to broaden both individual and collective expertise.Knowledge of software design and development, including object-oriented programming and web development using technologies such as ASP.NET, MVC, .NET Core, XML, HTML, CSS. Familiar with modern front-end JavaScript frameworks like Bootstrap, React, or similar. Possesses a fundamental understanding of secure software development practices.Demonstrated experience with MS SQL database administration or related RDMS.Bachelor's degree in a STEM discipline.A minimum of 3 years of experience related experience preferably in an academic environment.

Preferred:Familiarity Azure, AWS or other PaaS and SaaS technologies.Experience with various reporting and business intelligence tools including SQL and Power BI.
