Final placement on the salary schedule is at the discretion of the Superintendent.Dean of Students Stipend $5,182*All employees must complete a nationwide criminal history, upon hire**contingent upon student enrollment and review of comparability data for 2024-2025 school yearJob Description:As the Intermediate School Dean of Students, your role is to support the school's mission of creating a safe and positive learning environment for all students. You will work closely with teachers, staff, and parents to promote student success, well-being, and positive behavior.As a Reading Interventionist, your role is to support students who are struggling with reading skills. You will work closely with teachers, students, and parents to provide targeted interventions and develop strategies to improve reading proficiency.Responsibilities:Student Discipline:

Implement and enforce the school's code of conduct to ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.Address disciplinary issues promptly and fairly, following established procedures.Collaborate with teachers and parents to develop behavior improvement plans for students who require additional support.Serve as Public Agency Representative for Case Conferences.

Reading Interventions:

Analyze assessment data to determine appropriate intervention strategies for each student.Monitor and track students' progress through ongoing assessments.Provide direct instruction to students in small groups or one-on-one settings.Use research-based instructional strategies and materials to improve students' reading skills.Collaborate with classroom teachers to align intervention strategies with classroom instruction.Share progress updates and recommendations with teachers and parents.

Other appropriate duties as assigned by supervisor.Qualifications:Valid Indiana teaching license (required)Indiana Building Level Administrator license (preferred)Previous experience in a school leadership or student support role (preferred)Familiarity with and experience in providing research-based reading instruction methods such as OG and Science of Reading (preferred)Experience in providing reading interventions or literacy support (preferred)Ability to analyze data and make data-driven instructional decisionsStrong interpersonal and communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with students, parents, teachers, and staffExcellent problem-solving and conflict resolution skillsFamiliarity with relevant laws and regulations related to student discipline and safetyApply to Job
