Trellis is a nonprofit organization that provides services, information, and connections that help people optimize their aging experience. We are innovators in the field of aging and work to create new products, services, and relationships to meet the changing needs of a growing population of older adults.The Director of Development reports to the President and CEO of Trellis and will work closely with the Vice President of Communications and Engagement, board members, and the leadership team. This role will lead fundraising and public engagement efforts in close partnership with the CEO, Board of Directors, and Trellis staff to exceed current philanthropic fundraising goals.As the leader of development, the Director of Development will provide strategic and operational leadership for the functional areas of development which include:Individual and annual givingCorporate givingMajor gift procurementFoundation givingSponsor relationsThis position will foster a culture of philanthropy within the organization that engages staff, the Board of Directors, and key leaders in the community in advancing the long-term growth and sustainability of Trellis and its mission.Key Responsibilities:Design and execute engagement and stewardship plans that engage current and prospective individual donors throughout the entire donor cultivation cycle.Develop an individual donor acquisition plan and manage execution of it.Manage the portfolio of leadership donors and support the stewardship of donors with the CEO and leadership team.Leverage current marketing and communications resources to support Trellis' outreach and awareness-building efforts.Engage board members, management, staff, and volunteers in ongoing cultivation and solicitation of support.Provide staff support to the Trellis Development Committee and engage the committee and Trellis board in active fundraising support for Trellis.Support program leaders in securing corporate and foundation grants, including relationship building alongside the CEO and Trellis leadership team.Design and execute engagement and stewardship plans for corporate and foundation donors throughout the entire donor cultivation cycle.Develop and manage Trellis' fundraising budget consistent with goals, objectives, activities, and outcomes.Ensure proper utilization of donor management software to track donor cultivation efforts.Leverage best practices to create and revise infrastructure, systems, and processes to strengthen organizational fundraising and engagement efforts.Represent Trellis at external events, including media in collaboration with the VP of Communications and Engagement.Assist in establishing and growing a development team.What we offer:Over 30 years of successful leadership in developing and delivering programs and services that support older adults and family caregivers.Salary Range: $80,300 - $98,200.Comprehensive benefits, including medical, dental, life, and disability insurance.Generous time off benefits of 26 days of annual PTO plus 10 holidays.Retirement savings plan with a match of 5% salary.Positive, supportive, and collaborative work environment.Flexible hybrid work schedule.Qualified candidates are invited to submit a resume online at trellisconnects.org/careers.
