Review expenses related to using cloud services to help the company stay within its budget.Identify areas for cost reduction and find ways to optimize spending.Predict future expenses for cloud services based on usage trends and company goals.Assist in planning the budget accordingly.Identify opportunities to use cloud services more efficiently (e.g., resizing instances, leveraging reserved instances) to save money without impacting performance.Monitor Usage Trends:

Keep track of how the company uses cloud services.Identify changes in usage patterns that may impact costs or performance.

Collaborate with Product Engineering Teams:

Work closely with engineering teams to ensure that product design decisions factor the cost of “designed-in” cloud services.

Create clear and concise reports detailing cloud spending and usage.Make complex financial data understandable for decision-makers.Implement Cost-Saving Initiatives:

Identify and execute strategies to save money on cloud services.Negotiate better pricing with vendors and leverage discounts and rebates.

Stay Up-to-Date with Industry Trends:

Research the latest developments in cloud computing.Find new ways to improve efficiency and reduce costs.

Provide Recommendations to Management:

Present insights and ideas on optimizing cloud usage and costs to senior leaders.Drive informed decision-making.

Education and Experience

Knowledge and experience with AWS and Azure technologies (Foundation level).A curious, data-driven, and analytical mindset.Experience with Cloud management tools such as AWS Cost Explorer, CloudWatch, CloudHealth, and Azure Cost Management.Knowledge of IT Service Management tools e.g. Atlassian would be beneficial.Database query languages like SQL, Java, or C++ are an added advantage.Working experience in GitHub, CoPilot, and application management & deployment.Proficiency in financial management.Our Hiring Process is “Easy with eGain”

The base salary range is $80,000 to $150,000. Your base salary will be determined based on your location, experience, and the pay of employees in similar positions.Performance-based bonuses are tied to individual and company performance.Comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.Restricted stock or stock option grants, subject to company policies and performance.Please note that the compensation package can vary based on the candidate’s qualifications and experience level.
