Position Overview:

The Accounting Supervisor is responsible for reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining the general ledger, and preparing month-end close procedures. The ideal candidate has excellent analytical skills with a thorough knowledge of accounting principles and experience collaborating with a team of accountants and others as assigned.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Support the CFO with workflow process improvement and pursue special projects.

Oversee daily transactions, including accounts payable/receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.

Respond to inquiries from CFO regarding various accounting and financial functions.

Monitor and analyze the financial department to develop more efficient procedures while maintaining a high level of accuracy.

Participate in regular internal and external audits to ensure compliance.

Create and analyze liability, asset, and capital accounts by compiling electronic data and required documentation.

Summarize and prepare financial status and transaction reports, including profit and loss statements.

Comply with all federal, state, and local protocols including legal requirements.

Coordinate complex accounting projects and initiatives with other members of the accounting and finance team.

Maintain accurate financial records.

Prepare financial statements and produce budgets according to schedule.

Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable.

Analyze financial information and summarize financial status.

Support month-end and year-end close processes.

Monitor the daily performance of the accounting department.

Ensure the accounting team meets all financial reporting deadlines.

Handle personnel issues related to absenteeism, staff performance, and conflict.

Perform other related duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS:

Competencies:

Bilingual in Mandarin is preferred.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting with 2+ years of accounting/bookkeeping experience.

Advanced working knowledge of accounting software and ERP systems.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Strong organizational skills with great attention to detail.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Ability to work independently with little supervision.

Ability to multi-task and prioritize responsibilities.

Ability to work under pressure and deal with complex issues.

Ability to meet a constant stream of deadlines.

Highly detail-oriented and organized.

Familiarity with accounting software and programs.

Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Ability to sit for extended hours.

Ability to view a computer screen and type for extended hours.

Other physical requirements include occasional squatting, bending, and twisting.

Ability to adjust work schedule as business needs require.
