Accounts Payable Specialist
is responsible for all vendor and internal customer emails, invoice entry and recording of all transactions associated with purchases from external vendors and for internal customer purchases. The AP Specialist will work closely with the Accounting team, Supervisor and Controller and provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers. This position performs all accounts payable functions that arise on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, including, but not limited to:Maintaining and answering the shared AP email boxProcessing vendor invoices and recording transactions in Procurement ExpressResearching and responding to customer inquiries and issuesCustomer account reconciliationsW9 and vendor formsWeekly AP aging reportGeneral ledger postings, 1099 filingQuickbooks Enterprise entries, reporting and statementsOther tasks as deemed necessary by management including assisting with other functions of the Accounting departmentSince this role interacts daily with our customers, sales team and leadership, a strong customer service attitude and professional manner are required, along with strong attention to detail, great organizational skills, and the ability to work thoughtfully and independently.Minimum Qualifications:Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in an accounts payable/receivable, credit/collections or bookkeeping roleDegree in Business or Accounting (preferred)Good oral and written communication skills. Ability to explain and train concepts and processes to others.Excellent problem-solving abilities; strong attention to detail; process improvement mindset.Outstanding computer and keyboard skills. Knowledge of MS Office and Google Suite products.Knowledge of automated accounting software – QuickBooks (mandatory), Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP software (desired)Intellectual curiosity – the desire to learn and grow.Team player.
