What we are looking for

Our dynamic company has an immediate opening for a Technology Support Specialist to fulfill our IT needs. Our on-site and remote staff will rely on your friendly help, technical proficiency, and timely assistance for technical network, hardware, and software issues in a multi-platform setting. This position will also maximize computer system capabilities by studying technical applications and making improvement recommendations.

** Qualified candidate will work full-time in our Elizabethtown, PA, office.

Duties and Responsibilities

Installs and configures software and hardware, including desktop/laptop computers, printers, network equipment (switches, access points, etc.)Maintains accurate computer inventory and tracking, as well as receiving computer-related materialsConducts necessary maintenance on equipment and software including but not limited to: desktop computers, laptops, studio equipment, technology carts, mobile devices, software, telephony and VoIP, AV and presentation tools, printers and multifunction copiers. Ensures accuracy and current status of all hardware and licensing inventories.Provides accurate and timely technical troubleshooting, repair, and problem resolution support for staff. Researches and collaborates with all departments to provide high quality solutions.Evaluates expansions or enhancements by studying work load and capacity of computer systemManages system security, data back ups and software patchesAchieves computer system objectives by gathering pertinent data; identifying and evaluating options; recommending a course of actionConfirms program objectives and specifications by testing new programs; comparing programs with established standards; making modificationsImproves existing programs by reviewing objectives and specifications; evaluating proposed changes; recommending changes; making modificationsEvaluates vendor-supplied software by studying user objectives; testing software compatibility with existing hardware and programsMaximizes use of hardware and software by training users; interpreting instructions; answering questionsPrepares reference for users by writing operating instructionsMaintains historical records by documenting hardware and software changes and revisionsMaintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societiesContributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededOther duties as assignedPreferred Skills

2+ years professional IT experienceAssociate's degree or equivalent experience preferredStrong problem-solving skillsDetail oriented/strong skills in research, analysis, solution validation, and implementationExperience managing IT systems and applications, troubleshooting and repairing issuesKnowledge of TCP/IP protocols and LAN/WAN configurationsExperience/knowledge of Windows and MAC OSExperience with hardware set up, including network design and implementationProficiency in the Microsoft Suite including Office, SharePoint, DevOps, Teams, and IntuneDemonstrated aptitude to learn complex technical aspects of a software applicationSelf-directed with a high degree of initiative and the ability to perform with minimal oversightAbility to work independently or in a team environmentAbility to quickly adapt to new environmentsExcellent communication (written, listening, verbal) and interpersonal skills working with technical and non-technical personnel at all organizational levelsCRM Experience, Salesforce preferredProven vendor relationship management skillsAbility to remain poised and calm when faced with difficult situations
