What we are looking for

The QA Software Specialist assists with daily testing of our software platform. The QA Software Specialist primarily focuses on function testing of our Learning Management System (LMS). Through detailed steps, reporting, and follow up this role will provide on-going quality assurance testing. The qualified candidate will work out of our Elizabethtown, PA office.

Duties and Responsibilities

Create and execute performance test scripts, cases, and scenarios that will validate software performanceDebug software using systematic and manual tests to develop, apply, and maintain quality standardsDesign and create test data for effective and comprehensive functional testing; Identify, record, and document bugs thoroughly, including screenshots, video recordings, and step trackers to facilitate bug recreationProduce reports and documentation for all performance testing efforts, results, activities, data, logging and trackingFrequently communicate test progress, test results, and other relevant information to managementAssist in the development of quality control plans and schedulesMaintain documentation of test results to assist in modification of softwareAssist in answering inbound client support calls and electronic support tickets as neededPreferred Skills

Strong problem-solving skills from a technical and project management standpointDetail oriented/strong skills in research, analysis, solution validation, and implementationAbility to quickly adapt to new environmentsDemonstrated aptitude to learn complex technical aspects of a software applicationKnowledge of using automated testing tools and experience writing automated testing scriptsSelf-directed with a high degree of initiative and the ability to perform with minimal oversightAbility to work independently or in a team environmentExcellent communication skills (written, listening, verbal) requiredProficiency in the Microsoft Office SuiteCRM Experience, Salesforce preferredFamiliarity with Project Management SystemsAbility to remain poised and calm when faced with difficult situationsAvailability to work a minimum of one 10AM to 7PM shift per week and one on-call weekend per monthly rotation
