Mission YMCA is seeking an Associate Preschool Teacher for the infant classroom at Villa de Kapuso Child Development Center - 2350 San Jose Ave, San Francisco, 94112.The Preschool Associate Teacher is part of a team that provides a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for all children enrolled in our program. The Associate Teacher supports teachers and maintains positive relationships with families being served at the YMCA Preschool. The Associate Teacher must have a positive attitude and model appropriate behavior when dealing with children and must obey and follow all regulations set forth by Community Care Licensing as well as instructions given by the Lead Teacher and Site Director.Minimum Qualifications

18 years or olderAssociate Teacher Permit qualified or higher; must have 12+ ECE units, plus 16 GEMust be available Monday – Friday during program hours; 8 hours/day, 40 hours/week (ECE is a year-round program)350+ days of experience in a childcare setting, 3+ hours per day within 4 yearsYMCA approved CPR/First Aid certification (may complete upon hire)Physical health screening and TB Test clearance prior to hire and every 2 years thereafterProof of immunizations for influenza, pertussis, and measlesFingerprint background check clearance through Community Care LicensingPreferred Qualifications

Bilingual Spanish, Mandarin, or CantoneseAA Degree or higher in ECEKnowledge of DRDP, NAEYC, PITC, Anti-Bias Curriculum, Emergent Curriculum, and Reggio EmiliaAll employees working with the YMCA are considered to have supervisory or disciplinary action relationship over minors. Job offers are conditional and contingent upon background clearance.
