This recruitment is valid for initial appointments made in fall quarter 2024 through fall quarter 2025.

Position Description The Department of Economics at the University of California, Santa Cruz (UCSC) invites applications for an ongoing pool of lecturers who may be appointed to teach courses in the following areas: Economics -

microeconomics, macroeconomics, international economics, econometrics, applied micro, and applied macro. Business -

marketing, finance, business strategy, and entrepreneurship. Accounting -

financial, managerial, cost, accounting information systems, auditing, taxation, and advanced accounting. Computer Programming -

languages related to econometrics or economics data analysis. Teaching assignments may be at the undergraduate or graduate levels and the selected candidates must be able to work with students, faculty, and staff from a wide range of social and cultural backgrounds as well as be ready to deliver online instruction. Applicants with any of the following qualifications are strongly encouraged to apply: College or university-level teaching experience (as the instructor of record). Ph.D. or equivalent foreign degree in economics or related field (applicable to those interested in teaching economics courses). Successful experience teaching large lecture courses. Work experience in a sector relevant to advertised course topics. We are especially interested in candidates who can contribute to the diversity and excellence of the academic community. Internal candidates will be given priority consideration. Qualifications Basic qualifications

(required at time of application) CPA, MBA, or MA/MS degree (or equivalent foreign degree) in economics, business, or a field relevant to advertised course topics. Work or research experience in accounting, business or economics, or computer programming. Teaching experience demonstrated by college level teaching, TA experience, research presentations, or professional development training seminars.
