Denver Health Neurology team . The successful candidate will be joining a group of academic neurologists, who practice primarily at Denver Health Medical Center. The ideal candidate will be board certified in Neurology and have training in movement disorders. Well-qualified candidates with other subspecialty interests will also be considered.Responsibilities include supervision of housestaff and medical students. This is an academic position that emphasizes patient care and clinical research in the Inpatient, Outpatient, and Emergency settings. In addition to outpatient specialty clinics, the Division runs an inpatient service, consultative service, and an Epilepsy Monitoring Unit.Responsible for examining and treating patients who experience disorders, illnesses, and injuries that affect the nerves, spinal cord, and brain. Their duties include conducting physical examinations, collecting spinal fluid or other samples, and running neurological tests to identify problems.Essential Functions :Diagnose and treat various neurological conditions.Consult with patients on aftercare and long-term health management strategies.Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatments or medication as needed.Prescribe treatments or medication best suited to improve the patient's condition.Order tests and interpret results in order to determine the best treatment options.Attend training and seminars to stay up to date on the latest trends and developments in neurology.Education :Doctorate Degree RequiredLicenses :MD-Physician - State Medical Board RequiredKnowledge, Skills and Abilities :Knowledge of and ability to apply professional medical principles, procedures, and techniques.Thorough knowledge of pharmacological agents used in patient treatment.Able to effectively manage and direct medical staff support activities while providing quality medical care.Able to receive detailed information through oral communications; express or exchange ideas by verbal communications.Excellent written and verbal communications, listening, and social skills.Able to interact effectively with people of varied educational, socioeconomic, and ethnic backgrounds, skill levels, and value systems.Performs in a tactful and professional manner.A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.Computer skills required.Shift :Work Type : RegularSalary : $218,500.00 - $271,100.00 / yrBenefits :Outstanding benefits including up to 27 paid days off per year, immediate retirement plan employer contribution up to 9.5%, and generous medical plans.Free RTD EcoPass (public transportation).On-site employee fitness center and wellness classes.Childcare discount programs & exclusive perks on large brands, travel, and more.Tuition reimbursement & assistance.Education & development opportunities including career pathways and coaching.Professional clinical advancement program & shared governance.Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) eligible employer + free student loan coaching and assistance navigating the PSLF program.National Health Service Corps (NHCS) and Colorado Health Service Corps (CHSC) eligible employer.Our Values :RespectBelongingAccountabilityTransparencyAll job applicants for safety-sensitive positions must pass a pre-employment drug test, once a conditional offer of employment has been made.Denver Health
