1Position Summary:The phlebotomist II performs pre-analytic phases of clinical specimen collection (including arterial blood collection) and preparation primarily in an out-patient setting but may be requested to work in other areas of the lab as needed.Total CompensationIn addition to the salary range listed below, we offer a wealth of benefits to make working at UCI even more rewarding. $32.93Required Qualifications:Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.State of California Phlebotomy License (Certified Phlebotomy Tech I).Technical knowledge of lab procedures, functions and processes gained through education, experience or a combination of the two.Strong written and verbal communication skills.State of California Phlebotomy License (Certified Phlebotomy Tech II).Must possess the skill, knowledge and ability essential to the successful performance of assigned duties.Preferred Qualifications:Prefer one year of phlebotomy experience or completion of UCI phlebotomy program.Prefer one year of phlebotomy II experience or completion.Conditions of Employment:The University of California, Irvine (UCI) seeks to provide a safe and healthy environment for the entire UCI community.
