The Department of Biomaterials and Regenerative Dental Medicine at the University of Maryland School of Dentistry invites applications for an Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor position in Biomaterials and Regenerative Dental Medicine. This position requires a scientist in the field of dental biomaterials and regenerative medicine, who will work with colleagues in the Department and in the School of Dentistry to obtain funding, teach and train students, and provide innovative solutions and translational discoveries to enhance patient care in Maryland.About UMSOD/UMB

This position is open to candidates at Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor rank in the field of dental biomaterials and regenerative medicine. The applicants for this position will be outstanding translational research scientists in the field of dental tissue regeneration, including stem cells and bone regeneration, as well as development of novel dental biomaterials for tooth restorations and treating oral diseases such as caries and periodontal diseases. Candidates with a record of funded NIH research and collaborations in multidisciplinary teams are preferred. The successful candidate will be able to inspire undergraduate and graduate clinicians to undertake basic laboratory research and display a strong commitment to graduate and undergraduate education, outreach, and service.Qualifications
