Assistant Project Manager

to support the Project Team members with various construction projects.This is a salaried, full-time position with benefits.Major Responsibilities:Carries out project administration tasks at the request of the Project Manager/Superintendent including management of plans and drawings, maintenance and upkeep of both electronic and physical project files, assists with communication among Project Team Members and performs specific, case-by-case project tasks.Provides general project administration at Project Manager/Superintendent’s direction to keep the project well organized.Manages and tracks the original and successive sets of project plans, drawings, and sketches that are issued by architects, designers, engineers, and other project team members.Assists with updates for all project schedules and helps disseminate to project team members.Assists Project Manager/Superintendent with the planning, scheduling, bid solicitation, and review of subcontractor and supplier RFPs and buyouts.Assists with closeout at the end of the project.EXPERIENCE/SKILLS REQUIRED:The company realizes that every interested candidate might not have all of the desired experience, but here is what they are looking for in terms of experience and skills… the more you have, the better!Minimum of three years of increasingly responsible, related, post-graduate professional working experience.Any work experience or exposure or classes related to the following is a plus: Construction, project management, architecture, craft, or related trade work, etc.Familiarity with some type of customer and/or accounting database. MS Project, etc.Must have excellent, natural organizational skills.Excellent/advanced Excel skills.Strong skills with Microsoft Word, and all parts of Outlook.Excellent command of the English language.Team player; works well with others.EDUCATION/CREDENTIALS:Bachelor’s degree preferred.
