Current State and ARRT licensure for all three modalities.Completion of Associates program in Radiologic Technology or Certification from a Credentialed Radiology School, with ARRT Certification.Minimum of one year of previous experience.Current CPR certification.Essential Functions
Correctly identifies patient and corresponding exam. Obtains and documents patient history.Demonstrates proper positioning, radiographic techniques, and cassette screen/grid combinations to ensure high quality examinations.Practices standard precautions and maintains infection control standards.Educates patients regarding procedures and related information.Properly operates equipment as demonstrated by observation and audit.Demonstrates cooperative, positive, and professional patient care and customer service.Consistently maintains complete confidentiality of all medical, financial, employee, computer or other sensitive material which may jeopardize the privacy of others.Performs and supports quality assurance/CQI programs and processes.Demonstrates commitment to organizational goals.Attends all mandatory in-services and training.Screens patients before exams for any contraindications pertaining to the exam.Starts heplock and administers IV contrast under the direction of the Radiologist.Assists the Radiologist with Arthrogram procedures and demonstrates appropriate sterile procedure skills.
