What You'll Do:

Join our innovative team at ECS Limited and lead transformative projects in geotechnical engineering in our Dallas office. As a Geotechnical Principal Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future of our organization.

Responsibilities

Lead and Inspire Geotechnical Teams : Cultivate a collaborative environment, guiding Geotechnical engineers and project managers to excel.

Project Oversight and Technical Expertise : Manage projects, conduct rigorous technical report reviews, and craft compelling proposals. Contribute to departmental management and profit & loss (P&L) activities. Required to conduct a thorough final technical review for reports within their area of expertise. This includes reviewing all supporting documentation/calculations and ensuring quality control and regulatory compliance.

Strategic Marketing and Business Development : Drive marketing initiatives, foster business development, and support fellow team members in promoting our services. Enhance client interactions through sustained efforts and client relationship management.

Effective Communication and Mentorship : Engage seamlessly with senior staff, contributing your insights. Mentor junior team members to foster their professional growth in drafting proposals and report writing. Promote company values, positive culture, and high employee engagement.

Continuous Professional Development:

Stay at the forefront of industry and site safety advancements by participating in essential professional training programs.

What We're Looking For:

Required Experience & Skills

12+ years of geotechnical or construction materials testing engineering experience.

Designation as a senior reviewer at your current or previous firm.

Knowledge of and established relationships in the local market.

Proficiency with geotechnical engineering standards, principles, including construction codes, and applications for a wide variety of projects (commercial building, residential, roads/bridges, public works (civil infrastructure), etc.

Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong project and risk management, and business development skills.

Knowledge of current geotechnical software for feasibility studies, infrastructure project management, slope stability and geospatial analysis, deep foundations, and shallow foundations.

Must possess leadership qualifications and be business development oriented.

Required Education & Certifications

BS in Civil Engineering with a concentration in geotechnical engineering from an ABET accredited college/university.

A Professional Engineer (PE) license is required for this position. Alternatively, candidates must demonstrate the ability to obtain a local license through reciprocity within three months from the date of hire.

Preferred Education & Certifications :

MS in Civil Engineering with a geotechnical emphasis from an ABET accredited college/university.
