Employee Benefits Attorney

A law firm in San Jose is seeking an Employee Benefits Attorney with 5+ years of experience to provide counsel to employers on various ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements, including retirement plans and health and welfare plans. The ideal candidate will possess excellent written and oral communication skills.Duties:Counsel employers on ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements, including retirement plans and health and welfare plans.Provide legal advice and guidance on compliance issues related to employee benefits.Assist in the design, implementation, and administration of benefit programs.Review and draft plan documents, policies, and agreements.Advise on benefits-related matters during mergers, acquisitions, and other corporate transactions.Stay updated on changes in relevant laws and regulations affecting employee benefits.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Active membership in good standing with the California Bar.5+ years of experience practicing employee benefits law.Demonstrated expertise in counseling employers on ERISA and non-ERISA plans and arrangements.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Education:Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.Certifications:Active membership in the California Bar.Skills:Strong understanding of ERISA and non-ERISA employee benefit plans.Ability to provide practical and strategic legal advice to employers.Proficiency in drafting plan documents, policies, and agreements.Exceptional written and oral communication skills.Attention to detail and analytical thinking.Ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.
