Associate / Senior Geologist-Hydrogeologist
Pay Range: Associate – $43-53/hr.; Senior – $54-64/hr.Summary
Provost & Pritchard is offering opportunities for associate and senior geologists with experience and interest in the areas of water resources development, groundwater management, hydrogeologic analysis, and field services for public agencies and private developers. Candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills, the ability to build relationships and work closely with clients, and work in multidisciplinary teams with other geologists, engineers, and scientists. The candidate will have the ability to solve problems independently and in a team environment.This position offers hydrogeology professionals the opportunity to work directly with clients and manage innovative projects that meet today’s groundwater and water management challenges, leading agriculture and surrounding communities to a more sustainable future.Duties
Candidates must demonstrate an understanding of water supply hydrogeology and be able to apply their knowledge in a practical manner for both urban and agricultural clients. Serious candidates must have an interest and/or experience in areas such as:Groundwater managementGroundwater Sustainability PlansDevelopment of monitoring well network arraysSoil and water sampling plansGroundwater data gap evaluationsLeach field evaluation and designGroundwater storage change analysisGroundwater flow analysisGroundwater recharge and bankingHydrograph evaluationAquifer parameter analysisPump tests / slug testsGroundwater basin assessmentGroundwater budget analysisGroundwater telemetry / well instrumentationKnowledge of analytical software, such as AqtesolvMonitoring and production wellsSubsurface exploration and drillingGraphical analysis for groundwater quality and groundwater level dataPreparing Hydrogeological Conceptual ModelsRequirements
Must hold an active California PG license or be able to sit for CA license within 6 months of hire.Bachelor’s degree in geology or related field. Master’s degree a plus.Minimum 5 years of experience in water resources, hydrogeologic studies and analysis, and field work.Excellent written and oral communication skills.Minimum 2 years of experience managing projects.
