We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Director of Aquatic Operations to lead and oversee our aquatic programs, including an indoor aquatic center and an outdoor waterpark. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in waterpark management, program development, and staff leadership with the ability to recruit and manage 60+ staff members year-round and over 100 during the summer season.The Senior Director of Aquatic Operations will be responsible for the continued development and implementation of high-quality aquatic programs that align with the YMCA's mission and values. This role requires strong organizational and time management skills to ensure that participants and families have an exceptional experience at the YMCA. The director will also be responsible for the administrative aspects of programming, including budget management, staff training, and compliance with safety regulations.Our mission and core values are brought to life by our culture. Join us and help transform lives!Key Responsibilities:Program Development & Management:

Develop, implement, and manage operating plans to promote the growth and quality of YMCA aquatic programs.Execute strategies to ensure that program participants connect with one another and the YMCA.Coordinate special events and activities, ensuring alignment with YMCA values and community needs.

Recruit, hire, train, and supervise approximately 5 Full Time staff and 55 part-time staff year-round and over 100 staff during the summer.Facilitate communication and provide leadership to staff and volunteers.Model relationship-building skills to ensure high standards of member-focused programs through innovative program development, evaluations, and ongoing training.Develop and control department budgets related to aquatic operations.Assure compliance with state and local regulations, ensuring that program standards are met and safety procedures are followed.Provide data and reports as required for assigned programs.Community Engagement & Philanthropy:

Develop and maintain effective working relationships within the community.Provide leadership and support to the annual fundraising campaign and volunteer committees.Secure resources and support to advance the YMCA's mission through community engagement and fundraising efforts.

QualificationsEducation & Certifications:Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent work experience (or currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Program).Four or more years of program and/or waterpark management experience.MCA Lifeguard and/or Swim Instructor Certification will be required. Lifeguard Instructor Certification is a plus.YMCA Team Leader Certification preferred or achieved within 3 years.Experience & Background:

High energy, positive, “can-do” attitude, flexibility, teamwork, and attention to detail and high degree of initiative will help this candidate be successful. The ability to direct programs through leading both staff and volunteers, developing and monitoring budgets, developing and marketing programs, and bringing enthusiasm and a passion for fundraising. This leader will also need the ability to connect and relate with diverse groups of people at all levels of the organization.Philanthropy:
