Sales Account Rep

Fast growing meat distributor is expanding the sales team and is looking for a protein sales rep to help expand the Chicago and the Midwest territory.

MUST HAVE PROTEIN OR PRODUCE SALES EXPERIENCE TO GROCERY

Responsibilities:

Sell various proteins to new and existing customers. This includes asking questions to pinpoint the best offerings, giving demos or presentations, and maintaining customer relationships.

Reach out to leads through a variety of channels, such as email, phone, text, and social media.

Negotiate with leads and use persuasion techniques to overcome objections and land deals that are beneficial to the company while providing customers with optimal value.

Participate in company meetings with sales managers and other sales reps, providing a recap of recent results and accomplishments.

Manage and grow existing customer accounts across large and small grocery chains.

Qualifications:

2+ years of sales experience or account management from the protein industry selling to grocery stores.

MUST HAVE knowledge of various proteins or produce; ideally meats, fish, pork, chicken, lamb, and related.

Proactive.

Excellent communication skills.

Hungry to go after new business.

Team player.

Self-directed.

Motivated by commission sales.

Preferred experience:

BS/BA in Business, Operations, Economics, or related.

Bi-lingual English / Spanish is preferred.
