Senior Water/Wastewater Engineer

for our

Providence, RI

office. The successful candidate will be involved in projects with our Water/Wastewater Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.Your ImpactResponsibilities include management of clients, projects, and staff involved in a variety of water and wastewater projects in the Northeast. Successful candidate will:Represent WSP in dealing directly with private and public clients.Provide oversight and management for a variety of planning, design and construction projects.Design treatment, distribution and conveyance, pumping and storage facilities and prepare detailed engineering and planning reports, construction drawings and specifications.Lead or support regulatory process with client and/or partners.Mentor, delegate and supervise tasks performed by engineering staff.Develop business through existing and new client relationships.Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.Who You AreRequired QualificationsBachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Water Resources or related fields.7+ years’ experience in an engineering office with a focus on wastewater infrastructure design and water infrastructure.Professional Engineering License (PE) in MA, RI or NY, or the ability to obtain a license within one year.Ability to work both independently and within a team environment with the capability to delegate and supervise tasks.Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D including pipe networks. Experience with WaterCAD, SewerCAD, HydroCAD, and/or Plant 3D a plus.Strong writing and oral communication skills.Demonstrated client relationship and project management experience.Ability to perform field work/site visits and possess a valid US driver's license.Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.Flexibility to a variety of schedules to meet business needs.Preferred Qualifications:Master's degree is a plus.
