Responsibilities:The position starts in January 2024 or Fall 2024. Position responsibilities are to teach, supervise clinical experiences, and advise students in a Master’s and/or Specialist level CACREP accredited clinical mental health and school counseling program. Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:Teaching courses in CACREP core and counseling specialty areas.Providing clinical supervision to students.Producing a focused line of research leading to publications in refereed journals and to external funding.Advising/mentoring students.Working with faculty in the Counselor Education program and with those entities affiliated with the program.Recruiting for the program.Participating actively in professional organizations and university committees.Continuously improving the program.Qualifications:Doctorate in Counselor Education; emphasis and work experience in clinical mental health or school counseling preferred; graduate of CACREP accredited program; NCC certification; eligible for licensure as a Professional Counselor and Board Qualified Supervisor in Mississippi or your state of residence; evidence of clinical competence, successful teaching experience, and potential for excellence in scholarly achievement (e.g., research, publications, and presentations); demonstrated potential for leadership in school or clinical mental health counseling.Salary:
