A law firm in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Land Use and Zoning Associate Attorney with 4-8 years of experience. The candidate will handle a broad array of matters statewide in the areas of land development, land use, and zoning law. This role involves preparing land use entitlement applications, coordinating third-party consultants, representing clients in local government entitlement hearings, conducting land use and zoning due diligence, supervising legal research projects, and monitoring current local government affairs affecting clients. Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills, outstanding writing, analytical, and communication skills, as well as a commitment to client service, are essential.Duties:Prepare land use entitlement applications for various land development projects.Coordinate third-party consultants and experts involved in larger land use projects.Represent clients in local government entitlement hearings.Work with and navigate through Florida local governments and state agencies.Perform land use and zoning due diligence for clients involved in real estate transactions.Conduct and supervise legal research projects related to land use and zoning matters.Monitor and report on current local government affairs affecting clients of the practice group.Requirements:Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an ABA-approved law school.Active membership in the Florida Bar in good standing.4-8 years of prior experience in land use and zoning law.Strong interpersonal and public speaking skills.Outstanding writing, analytical, and communication skills.Commitment to client service values.Certifications:Relevant certifications or specialized training in land use and zoning law are advantageous.Skills:Proficiency in land use and zoning law principles and practices.Ability to effectively prepare and present land use entitlement applications.Experience representing clients in local government entitlement hearings.Strong project management skills to coordinate third-party consultants and experts.Excellent legal research and writing skills.Ability to monitor and report on current local government affairs affecting clients.
