Tax Associate Attorney or Of Counsel

A law firm in Houston is seeking a highly qualified Tax Associate Attorney or Of Counsel to join their dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be academically distinguished with excellent writing and analytical skills, possessing 5+ years of relevant experience in estate planning. This role involves active participation in building the existing practice, significant client contact, and the opportunity to move into a leadership role in the long term.Duties:Provide expert legal advice and representation to clients in matters related to tax planning, estate planning, and wealth preservation.Draft and review legal documents including wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and other estate planning instruments.Conduct legal research on tax laws, regulations, and precedent cases to support client cases and advise on complex legal issues.Collaborate with other attorneys, paralegals, and support staff to ensure seamless delivery of legal services to clients.Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, provide updates on case progress, and address any concerns or questions.Requirements:Juris Doctorate or better in Law from an accredited law school.Admission to the State Bar in good standing.Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in estate planning.Strong understanding of tax laws, regulations, and estate planning principles.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize workload effectively.Commitment to providing exceptional client service and maintaining client confidentiality.Education:Juris Doctorate or better in Law from an accredited law school.Certifications:Admission to the State Bar in good standing.Skills:Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent writing and research abilities.Attention to detail and accuracy.Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.Proficiency in legal research tools and software.Effective time management and organizational skills.
