The immediate vacancies are located in Downtown and Halawa to Kalihi.

Salary :

$5,713 to $6,949 per month (SR-24, Step D to I)

Note:

Hiring rates will be based on availability of funds, the applicant's qualifications, and other relevant factors.

Responsibilities:Perform complex human resources work independently.Provide human resources management advisory services and evaluations for complex organizations.Act as a specialist, consultant, and troubleshooter in resolving difficult human resources problems.Handle assignments of a very complex nature.Perform other related duties as assigned.

To qualify, you must meet all of the following requirements:

Basic Education/Experience:

A bachelor's degree from an accredited four-year college or university.

Specialized Experience:

Three and one-half years of professional work experience in one or any combination of human resources management functions; i.e., recruitment, placement, examination, position classification, pay or wage administration, employee management relations and services, employee development, human resources program development and services, labor relations, and human resources research.

Supervisory Aptitude:

Supervisory aptitude rather than actual supervisory experience may be accepted. This requirement will be considered to have been met when there is strong affirmative evidence of the necessary supervisory abilities and/or potential.

Federal Criminal History Records Check

: In accordance with Federal regulations, persons who are being considered for employment in positions which require unescorted access to secured areas at the harbor must undergo a pre-employment fingerprint-based criminal history record check.

In order to be granted the

Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC)

clearance, prospective employees must not have been convicted, or found "not guilty by reason of insanity," of a disqualifying criminal offense within seven years from the date of appointment.

Upon recommendation for hire, prospective employees will be required to successfully undergo the fingerprint-based criminal history record check and be found free of disqualifying convictions during the preceding seven years.

The cost for the records check will be the applicant's responsibility.

However, upon hire, the employee will be reimbursed provided he/she submits the

receipt to his/her supervisor.
