Director, Hospital Development and Business Partner Relationships
The Director of Hospital Development and Business Partner Relationships is responsible for the strategic development of partnerships with transplant centers, medical examiners, hospitals, and community partners in an effort to fulfill STA’s lifesaving mission. This role requires strong leadership capabilities and oversight over statewide teams. The director will use real-time data to drive partnerships, seek opportunities, and deliver results. This highly collaborative role will work across the organization to help serve more families and save more lives through the organization’s lifesaving mission.Responsibilities:
The Director of Hospital Development and Business Partner will join the STA team responsible for cultivating relationships with healthcare centers and key leaders in the OPO field through STA Texas regions.Cultivate and execute strategic initiatives of the department in collaboration with the Chief Development and Communications Officer.Collaborate with internal STA stakeholders and functions to foster a Center of Excellence and Innovation.The position will build relationships and be the liaison between STA and its partner health centers.Cascade data story to appropriate stakeholders responsible for department metrics and dashboard data.Establish department budget and financial controls.Ensure any implementation is aligned with the organization's best-known practices and the needs of the partner healthcare center.Attend community engagement and serve as a spokesperson for the organization.Monitor individual and team performance results and opportunities for improvement. Adjust day-to-day team interactions with partners as necessary to align with organizational goals.Maintain collaborative team relationships with peers and colleagues in order to achieve goals and foster a positive work environment.Direct the planning of hospital contact and engagement activities and review that department staff are providing the optimal level on-site service.Collaborate with the Quality department to ensure ongoing process improvement and regulatory compliance as well as collaboration on such initiatives as Quality Improvement, Lean Process, and PDSA development and execution.Provide 24/7 support for all Hospital Services operations-related activities as needed.This role will require 25% of business travel.EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, life sciences, or communication is required. A combination of experience and education may be considered to meet the position requirements.Healthcare experience preferred.8-10 years of related experience leading teams and external partnerships required.In-depth knowledge of the OPO industry and regulatory standards, Texas hospitals, and hospital systems or equivalent.Organizational account management experience, with a background in maintaining excellent relationships.Excellent communication skills required. Must have the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of personnel and to represent the organization publicly.Entrepreneurial spirit and the natural inclination to take initiative, move quickly, and be creative.Comfort working independently; a high degree of flexibility and entrepreneurialism will be needed to assist in the continuous evolution of this quality improvement.Outstanding interpersonal skills, with the ability to develop productive working relationships across a diverse spectrum of partners and colleagues.Ability to travel in light and commercial aircraft or drive his/her personal auto in order to meet all job duties and responsibilities.
