University of Iowa Carver College of MedicineDepartment of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences2024-01-30The University of Iowa Department of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences has a long-standing history of providing outstanding care for our patients, conducting leading-edge, collaborative research, and educating the next generation of ophthalmologists and vision science researchers.The Department is currently seeking an academically oriented optometrist to join a team of established providers. Appointment at the level of Assistant Professor, Associate Professor or full Professor is available and commensurate with experience. The position entails clinical activity at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics main campus, Iowa River Landing Ambulatory site as well as possible outreach sites. Opportunities are available for teaching residents and medical students in the clinic and in small group classes. Expectations include maintaining high clinical and ethical standards, adhering to compliance measures, establishing and promoting an atmosphere of unity through collaborative practice and effective communication, and fostering a high level of patient and staff satisfaction.Responsibilities
