Member-Level Healthcare Attorney

Job Overview: A law firm in Chicago, IL, seeks a Member-Level Healthcare Attorney to join their national team. The ideal candidate will have 8 years of experience and regulatory expertise in providing legal counsel to healthcare providers. Additionally, candidates should have a self-starter mentality and bring a portable business book.Duties:Provide legal counsel to healthcare providers on various issues, including regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse, licensing, reimbursement, and transactional matters.Draft and negotiate professional service agreements, joint venture agreements, business associate agreements, and other healthcare-related contracts.Participate in healthcare M&A deal teams, assisting with due diligence, regulatory review, and drafting transaction documents.Develop and implement corporate compliance programs and HIPAA compliance programs for healthcare providers.Requirements:Minimum of 8 years of experience as an attorney in healthcare law.Proven experience in regulatory compliance, fraud and abuse, licensing, reimbursement, and transactional matters within the healthcare industry.Strong understanding of healthcare laws and regulations, including HIPAA.Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.Certifications:Preferred: Certification in healthcare law or related field (e.g., Health Law Certification from the American Board of Legal Medicine).Skills:Excellent legal research and writing skills.Strong negotiation and drafting abilities.Ability to work independently and as part of a team.Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and legal research databases.
